In my opinion a better antenna. Av-525 the is a vor loc Gs antenna similar in to AV-12 but utilizes an internal baling transformer. You can look at more specs on Rami site for it but I have pasted them below as well.

These are used on a lot of Piper aircraft and that also the AV-12. I ended up not needing to use this antenna and went another route. Still in the original box and never taken out. Hello, this is a brand new Rami AV-525 antenna.
