I bought it for my bonanza then decided was too much of a hassle to eliminate vacuum system. Yes, I have carefully noted everything works, its all sealed, do not tamper with the avionics stickers. The gyro is contained inside head unit, and has only a slaving amplifier that's hooked to flux sensor so you save on weight, components, ease of installation.
Starting at 1,750 this unit is a steal. This is STX'd in just about any aircraft, and retails well over 7,000.
